Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 tsp chili flakes
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
- Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in the wok. Add the garlic, peanuts, green onions, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the beef to the wok. Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, Sichuan peppercorns, and chili flakes. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Transfer the gong bao spiced beef fried rice to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions, if desired.
