Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 1 tsp chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
  2. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in the wok. Add the garlic, peanuts, green onions, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Return the beef to the wok. Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, Sichuan peppercorns, and chili flakes. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
