Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 3 tablespoons sweet and sour sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Push the shrimp to one side of the wok and add the bell pepper and onion. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water. Pour the mixture over the shrimp and vegetables in the wok.
- Add the pineapple chunks and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and vegetables.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice.
