Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in the vegetable oil and warm water to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a thick tortilla, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the gorditas for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and puffed.
- Once cooked, carefully slice open each gordita and fill with refried beans, shredded chicken, lettuce, queso fresco, and salsa.
