Gordon Ramsay Risotto

Ingredients

  • Arborio rice
  • Chicken or vegetable broth
  • Butter
  • Onion
  • White wine
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the broth in a saucepan and keep it warm over low heat.
  2. In a separate large pan, melt the butter and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft.
  3. Add the rice to the pan and stir for a couple of minutes until it is well coated with the butter.
  4. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer until it has almost evaporated.
  5. Add a ladle of warm broth to the rice and stir constantly until the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Continue adding the broth, one ladle at a time, and stirring constantly until the rice is cooked al dente.
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
