Gosht Masala (spicy Beef Curry)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef, cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, pureed
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a large pot and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 45-50 minutes or until the beef is tender.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
