Gosht Masala (spicy Beef Curry)
Gosht Masala is a flavorful and spicy beef curry that is a staple in Navyath Muslim Cuisine. This dish is packed with aromatic spices and tender beef, making it a perfect choice for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 tomatoes, pureed
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a large pot and sauté the onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the beef cubes and cook until browned.
- Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 45-50 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
