Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 head of garlic, roasted
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, warm water, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Press the dough into a rectangle shape.
- Press the roasted garlic cloves and chopped rosemary into the dough, then drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Let the dough rise for another 20 minutes while preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the focaccia for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
