Ingredients

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, and salt.
  2. Add yogurt and knead the mixture into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into cylindrical dumplings.
  3. Bring a pot of water to a boil and gently drop the dumplings into the water. Boil for 10-12 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  5. Add the boiled dumplings to the pan and cook until they turn golden brown.
  6. Stir in garam masala and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or Indian bread.
