Grandma's Banana Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the sour cream until the batter is smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
