Ingredients
- 2 cups mixed candied fruits
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the candied fruits and nuts. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk.
- Stir in the fruit and nut mixture. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
