Ingredients
- 1 cup whole green gram (moong dal)
- 1/2 cup flattened rice (poha)
- 2-3 green chilies
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Wash and soak the green gram and flattened rice separately for 4-6 hours.
- Drain the water from the soaked green gram and flattened rice.
- In a blender, grind the green gram, flattened rice, green chilies, and ginger into a smooth batter.
- Add salt and chopped onions to the batter and mix well.
- Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
- Drizzle oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until it turns golden brown and crisp.
- Flip the dosa and cook the other side for a few seconds.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more dosas.
- Serve the Green Gram Dosa with Flattened Rice hot with chutney or sambar.
