Green Gram Dosa With Flattened Rice (pesarattu Poha)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole green gram (moong dal)
  • 1/2 cup flattened rice (poha)
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the green gram and flattened rice separately for 4-6 hours.
  2. Drain the water from the soaked green gram and flattened rice.
  3. In a blender, grind the green gram, flattened rice, green chilies, and ginger into a smooth batter.
  4. Add salt and chopped onions to the batter and mix well.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
  6. Drizzle oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until it turns golden brown and crisp.
  7. Flip the dosa and cook the other side for a few seconds.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more dosas.
  9. Serve the Green Gram Dosa with Flattened Rice hot with chutney or sambar.
