Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole green gram (moong dal)

  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Soak the green gram in water for 4-5 hours. Drain the water and grind it with green chilies, ginger, and coriander leaves to a smooth batter.
  2. Transfer the batter to a bowl and add semolina, chopped onion, and salt. Mix well to form a thick batter.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a dosa. Drizzle oil around the edges and cook until golden brown.
  4. Flip the dosa and cook the other side until crispy.
  5. Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
