Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole green gram (moong dal)
  • 1/2 cup semolina (sooji)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • Handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Soak the green gram in water for 4-5 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain the water and blend the green gram into a smooth batter.
  3. Add semolina, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of batter. Spread it into a round shape.
  5. Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook until the pancake turns golden brown on both sides.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more pancakes.
