Grenadian Cocoa Tea

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup grated cocoa sticks
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the grated cocoa sticks, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg to the boiling water. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the milk and sugar, and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Strain the cocoa tea into mugs and serve hot.
