Grenadian Cocoa Tea
Grenadian Cocoa Tea is a traditional hot beverage enjoyed in Grenada, made with rich cocoa and warm spices. It's the perfect drink to cozy up with on a cool evening or to enjoy as a morning pick-me-up.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup grated cocoa sticks
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the grated cocoa sticks, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg to the boiling water. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the milk and sugar, and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Strain the cocoa tea into mugs and serve hot.
