Grenadian Nutmeg Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and ground nutmeg.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the mixture to prevent a skin from forming. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until the ice cream is thick and creamy.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
