Grilled Chicken (pollo A La Plancha)
Grilled Chicken, or Pollo a la Plancha, is a popular dish in Puerto Rican Chinese cuisine. This flavorful and juicy chicken is marinated with a blend of spices and then grilled to perfection, resulting in a delicious and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
