Frigeți de Pui, or Grilled Chicken Skewers, is a popular dish in Romani cuisine, known for its flavorful and tender chicken pieces grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
- Grill the chicken skewers for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
