Grilled Chicken Skewers with Sumac Marinade (Tavuk Şiş)

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons sumac
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, sumac, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto skewers, alternating with chunks of onion and bell pepper.
  5. Grill the skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
