Grilled Cottage Cheese (paneer Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 400g cottage cheese (paneer), cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add the cottage cheese cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread the marinated cottage cheese, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers.
  4. Heat a grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil it.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the cottage cheese is golden brown and the vegetables are tender.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
