Grilled Marinated Meat, also known as Kathmandu Choyla, is a popular dish in Nepalese cuisine. It is a flavorful and spicy dish that is perfect for grilling and enjoying with friends and family.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless meat (chicken, lamb, or goat), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped red onions
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to make the marinade.
- Add the meat pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat the meat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated meat onto skewers and grill for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Remove the meat from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped green chilies, red onions, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
