Grilled Marinated Meat (kathmandu Choyla)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless meat (chicken, lamb, or goat), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onions
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add the meat pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat the meat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated meat onto skewers and grill for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has a nice char.
  5. Remove the meat from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
  6. Garnish with chopped green chilies, red onions, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
