Grilled Meat (Zesty Zgare) is a traditional Albanian dish that is bursting with flavor and perfect for a summer barbecue.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs of beef or lamb, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add the meat cubes to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl and let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated meat onto skewers.
- Grill the meat skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired level of doneness.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and drizzle the freshly squeezed lemon juice over the meat.
