Grilled Prawns (Camarões Grelhados)
Camarões Grelhados, or Grilled Prawns, is a popular dish in Guinea-Bissauan cuisine. This simple and flavorful recipe is perfect for a summer barbecue or a quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 12 large prawns, deveined and peeled
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
- Add the prawns to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the prawns on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and opaque.
- Remove the prawns from the grill and serve with lemon wedges.
