Gröstl Goodness
Gröstl, also known as Tiroler Gröstl, is a traditional Austrian dish that is perfect for using up leftover ingredients. This hearty and flavorful meal is a staple in Austrian cuisine and is sure to satisfy your cravings for comfort food.
Ingredients
- 4 potatoes, boiled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup cooked beef or pork, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and bacon, and cook until the onion is translucent and the bacon is crispy.
- Add the diced potatoes and cooked meat to the skillet, and cook until the potatoes are golden brown.
- Make 4 wells in the potato mixture and crack an egg into each well. Cook until the eggs are done to your liking.
- Season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
