Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup calamansi juice (or lemon juice)
- 1 large onion, sliced into rings
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, calamansi juice, garlic, and ground black pepper. Add the beef slices to the marinade, making sure they are well-coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion rings and cook until they are soft and caramelized. Remove the onions from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, pan-fry the marinated beef slices in batches until they are browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Once all the beef slices are cooked, return the caramelized onions to the pan and stir to combine with the beef.
- Transfer the Guamanian Beef Steak to a serving platter and serve hot with steamed rice.
