Guamanian Chilaquiles (chalakiles)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 1 cup Guamanian red pepper sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the Guamanian red pepper sauce over medium heat.
  2. Add the tortilla chips to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly with the sauce.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and diced onions over the chips.
  4. Create small wells in the mixture and crack the eggs into the wells.

  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper.
