Gui Hua Tang (sweet Osmanthus Soup)

Ingredients

  • 500ml water
  • 100g rock sugar
  • 50g dried osmanthus flowers
  • 50g sweet rice (sticky rice)

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add rock sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Rinse the dried osmanthus flowers and add them to the pot.
  4. Rinse the sweet rice and add it to the pot.
  5. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sweet rice becomes translucent and the osmanthus flowers release their fragrance.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
