Ingredients
- 4 pieces of firm tofu
- 200g ground pork
- 1 cup chopped shiitake mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the tofu by cutting a slit in the side of each piece to create a pocket for the stuffing.
- In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, Sichuan peppercorns, salt, and white pepper.
- Stuff the tofu pockets with the pork mixture, pressing gently to fill the pockets completely.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the stuffed tofu pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the pork is fully cooked.
- Serve the Gui Zhou Dou Fu Wan hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
