Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 4 medium, boiled and mashed
  • Green chilies - 2, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, chopped
  • Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for shallow frying
  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Tamarind chutney - 1/2 cup
  • Green chutney - 1/2 cup
  • Sev - 1/2 cup
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix the mashed potatoes, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, cornflour, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round tikkis.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  4. Whisk the yogurt until smooth and creamy.
  5. Place the aloo tikkis on a serving plate and top them with whisked yogurt, tamarind chutney, green chutney, sev, chaat masala, red chili powder, and cumin powder.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve immediately.
