Gujarati-style Tandoori Paneer

Ingredients

  • 500g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
  3. In a pan, heat oil and sauté the onion and bell pepper until slightly charred.
  4. Add the marinated paneer and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the paneer is cooked and has a slightly charred texture.
  5. Serve hot with naan or rice.
