Gujarati-style Veg Manchurian

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped cabbage, grated carrots, capsicum, spring onions, all-purpose flour, cornflour, soy sauce, chili sauce, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Form small balls from the mixture and deep fry them until golden brown.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add soy sauce, chili sauce, and a little water. Let it come to a boil.
  5. Add the fried veg balls to the sauce and toss well.
  6. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
