Guyanese Style Chow Mein

Ingredients
- 1 lb chow mein noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, julienned
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the julienned bell pepper, carrots, shredded cabbage, and chopped green beans to the pan. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the pan.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve the Guyanese Style Chow Mein hot.
