Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups chopped mustard greens
  • 1 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4-5 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are slightly browned.
  4. Stir in the turmeric, cumin, coriander, and red chili powders. Mix well.
  5. Add the chopped mustard greens and bamboo shoots. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and cook until the chicken is tender and the greens are cooked.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
