Hachee Sliders
Hachee Sliders are a delicious Dutch twist on the classic slider, featuring tender beef stewed in a rich, flavorful sauce and served on mini buns. These sliders are perfect for parties, gatherings, or a fun weeknight dinner!
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs stewing beef, cubed
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 12 slider buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the beef over medium-high heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef and onion mixture, and stir to coat.
- Pour in the beef broth and red wine vinegar, then add the brown sugar and bay leaves.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover and cook over low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble the sliders by placing a spoonful of the hachee (beef mixture) onto each bun.
- Serve and enjoy!
