Tebasaki, or Japanese chicken wings, are a popular dish in Nagoya, Japan. This recipe adds a twist with a sweet and spicy Hachimitsu Sriracha Teriyaki glaze, creating a perfect balance of flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/4 cup sake
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, sriracha, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
- In a large skillet, place the chicken wings in a single layer and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.
- Add sake, mirin, and water to the skillet.
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, then uncover and cook for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the wings.
- Transfer the wings to a serving platter, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
