Haemul Pajeon Pizza (해물파전 피자)
해물파전 피자 (Haemul Pajeon Pizza) is a fusion dish that combines the flavors of traditional Korean seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) with the concept of a classic Italian pizza.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sliced squid
- 1/2 cup small shrimp
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup sliced red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup sliced onion
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Soy dipping sauce, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, eggs, and salt to make the pancake batter.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Pour half of the pancake batter into the skillet, then arrange half of the seafood and vegetables on top.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip the pancake and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Repeat with the remaining batter and ingredients to make a second pancake.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Transfer the cooked pancakes to a baking sheet and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice the pancake pizzas and serve with soy dipping sauce.
