Hai Dai Dou Fu Tang, also known as Seaweed Soup with Tofu, is a traditional dish from Putian (Henghwa) Cuisine, known for its light and refreshing flavors. This soup is easy to make and perfect for a quick and nutritious meal.
Ingredients
- 1 block of soft tofu, cubed
- 20g dried seaweed (hai dai)
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the dried seaweed in water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil.
- Add the cubed tofu and soaked seaweed to the pot.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, then season with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
