Hainanese Lemongrass Coconut Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine lemongrass, garlic, shallot, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, turmeric, coriander, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
