Hakka Stuffed Tofu Skin Rolls (客家豆腐皮卷)

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces of dried tofu skin
  • 200g ground pork
  • 1 cup chopped shiitake mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped bamboo shoots
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried tofu skin in warm water for 10 minutes until softened. Cut each piece in half lengthwise.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground pork, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, green onion, and cornstarch. Season with salt.
  3. Place a spoonful of the filling onto each piece of tofu skin and roll it up tightly.
  4. Steam the rolls for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
