Ingredients

  • 4 large green plantains
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Mayonnaise
  • Ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the plantain slices until golden brown. Remove and flatten them with a plate.
  3. Return the flattened plantains to the pan and fry until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into burger patties and cook in a separate pan.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked beef patties on top of the fried plantains, then add cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
  6. Top with another fried plantain slice to complete the burger.
