Hamburguesa De Patacones (patacones Burger)
The Hamburguesa de Patacones, or Patacones Burger, is a delicious Colombian dish that replaces the traditional burger buns with crispy fried plantains. This unique twist adds a flavorful and satisfying crunch to the classic burger experience.
Ingredients
- 4 large green plantains
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 slices of cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the plantain slices until golden brown. Remove and flatten them with a plate.
- Return the flattened plantains to the pan and fry until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into burger patties and cook in a separate pan.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked beef patties on top of the fried plantains, then add cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
- Top with another fried plantain slice to complete the burger.
