Ingredients

  • 2 bundles of dried naengmyeon noodles
  • 4 cups of beef or vegetable broth
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 Asian pear, julienned
  • 4 slices of boiled beef or ham
  • 4 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Korean mustard
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil the naengmyeon noodles according to the package instructions, then rinse under cold water and drain.
  2. In a bowl, mix the broth, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and Korean mustard to make the broth.
  3. Place the chilled noodles in a serving bowl, pour the broth over the noodles, and add ice cubes to keep it cold.
  4. Top the noodles with sliced hard-boiled eggs, julienned cucumber, julienned Asian pear, and slices of boiled beef or ham.
