Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4-5 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 200g Handkäse cheese, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the dough into a tart pan to form the crust. Arrange the apple slices over the crust.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the apples. Place the Handkäse slices on top.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.
- Let the tart cool for a few minutes before serving.
