Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-4 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, harissa paste, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, and salt.
  2. Blend the mixture while slowly adding the olive oil. If the mixture is too thick, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with a pinch of cumin and harissa for garnish.
