Harmonious Herbal Soup (和谐草药汤)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 packet of Chinese herbal soup mix
  • 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the Chinese herbal soup mix and reduce heat to a simmer. Let it simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and cubed tofu. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot.
