Ingredients

  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 6 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the apples, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and walnuts.
  3. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  4. Repeat with the remaining phyllo sheets, stacking them on top of each other.
  5. Spread the apple mixture along one edge of the phyllo stack and roll it up.
  6. Place the strudel on a baking sheet, seam side down, and brush with more melted butter.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
