Ingredients

  • 1 kg fresh plums, pitted and sliced
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 150g unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced plums with 50g of sugar and let them sit for 15 minutes to release their juices.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold butter and use your fingers to rub it into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Transfer the plum mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the plums.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the plum juices are bubbling.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
