Hazaragi Chicken and Spinach Soup (Aash-e Morgh-o-Saag)

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onions and garlic until golden.
  2. Add the chicken pieces, turmeric, coriander, and cumin. Cook until the chicken is browned.
