Hazaragi Chicken and Spinach Soup (Aash-e Morgh-o-Saag)
Aash-e Morgh-o-Saag is a traditional Hazaragi chicken and spinach soup that is packed with flavor and nutrition. This hearty and comforting soup is perfect for a cozy family meal or to warm up on a cold day.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté the onions and garlic until golden.
- Add the chicken pieces, turmeric, coriander, and cumin. Cook until the chicken is browned.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
