Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the semolina and cook, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
- In a separate saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Slowly pour the sugar syrup into the semolina mixture, stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
- Add the chopped almonds and ground cinnamon, and continue to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let the halva cool for a few minutes before serving.
