Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup oat bran
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the honey, olive oil, and salt.
- Add the whole wheat flour, oat bran, and flaxseed. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the bread for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
