Ingredients
- 500g smoked pork, cut into cubes
- 1 cup fermented bamboo shoots
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, slit
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the smoked pork cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the fermented bamboo shoots and chopped tomato. Cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in a cup of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about an hour or until the pork is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
