Hmarcha Sai is a traditional smoked pork sausage dish from Tripuri Cuisine, known for its rich and flavorful taste. This recipe combines the smoky aroma of pork with a blend of aromatic spices, making it a popular dish in Tripuri households.
Ingredients
- 500g smoked pork sausages
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
- Add the green chilies and ginger-garlic paste. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Now, add the turmeric, cumin, and coriander powder. Mix well.
- Add the smoked pork sausages and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the sausages are cooked through, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
