Holat (stuffed Grilled Zucchini)
Holat is a traditional Batak dish that features grilled zucchini stuffed with a flavorful mixture of ground meat, vegetables, and spices. This dish is a delicious and nutritious addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 4 medium zucchinis
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Cut the zucchinis in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds to create a hollow center.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, bell pepper, tomato, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the hollowed-out zucchinis with the ground beef mixture.
- Brush the stuffed zucchinis with olive oil and place them on the grill.
- Grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the zucchinis are tender and the filling is cooked through.
- Remove from the grill and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
